How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?
Hmmm…honestly…I never really know when it’s time to unplug… I just crash. Emotionally, mentally, sometimes physically. 😅 One second I’m scrolling through reels, and the next second I’m like- why am I even doing this? My brain’s fried, my mood’s weird, and I feel drained for no reason.
That’s when I know. That’s when I quietly toss my phone to the other side of the bed like it’s a toxic ex. 😬
I don’t have a fixed way to unplug. Sometimes I journal, sometimes I cry (yes, crying counts as detox), or I just lie down and stare at the ceiling till my brain resets. If it’s nighttime, I might talk to myself or write random thoughts in my Notes app because even if I unplug from the world, I still need to plug into me.
And you know what? I’ve realized I don’t need to disappear for a whole day. Even just 20 minutes without notifications buzzing in my face feels like peace. Pure, underrated peace.
So no, I don’t unplug perfectly. But I’m learning to pause, and maybe that’s enough for now. 🌿📴
